Bold, brilliant, a light shining in the darkness~ this is our Saint Michael the Archangel. It was written that when he cast Satan down to hell it looked like a streak of lighting falling from heaven. I wanted to bring that same electricity into this image. His staff points up to the way of healing but also down to the place where Satan resides. He guards the whole world in the name of Christ written on the glob in his hand.
Michael is said to ask over and over again, "Who is like God?". He has a way of putting people (or demons) in their place...
At the end of the Catholic Mass we say the Saint Michael prayer which is a very powerful thing to say as a community. Let this print be a reminder to you of who you serve and of how protected and loved you are.
